Why blog? Searching for writing on the web. Author Alex Reid. In his very sentence into his blog, he said that “as Malcolm Gladwell and others have observed, it would takes some 10,000 hours of dedication to a craft or profession to become an expert”. For some reason this sentence was a hot topic in my class and it actually interested me. To have a better understanding of how much time is 10,000 hours; I like to put it this way, let’s say that a person spend an average of five hours practicing everyday, that would take him/her a total of 2000 days or over five years practicing the same skill. Five hours for over five years seem more clear to me than 10,000 hours. It would be easy to learn a skill that you enjoy doing but something boring and you force to master, it wouldn’t be a pleasant feeling at all. For example, using a phone or computer would be so easy, and you might ask is this a skill? Yes, it is. you don’t releasing it but you are learning this skill by choice, you don’t know that you are learning about this skill because you enjoy doing it, and if we can apply this to other things, we could accomplish so much. I think that if you are learning about a new skill, don’t ever think about time, and to honest to whoever reading this, if you are learning about a new skill, you will never experience time at all. The opposite goes with things that you don’t want to learn. My conclusion is that if there is a thing that you enjoy doing, and it it helpful and benefit you and others, don’t waste it because you will become an expert while enjoying it.
